Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account data: name, username, email address, and a hashed password (if you set one) — we never store your password in readable form. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive only your name and email from them, nothing else.

Files you upload: processed solely to produce the output you requested, then automatically deleted — within 24 hours on the Free plan, or 30 days on paid plans. See our Security page for how file access is protected in the meantime.

Usage data: which tools you use and when, your IP address, and (for visitors without an account) an anonymous device cookie used only to enforce the free daily file limit.

2. How we use it

To run the tool you asked for, keep your account secure, enforce plan limits, process payments, and — only if you've opted in — send you product emails. We do not sell your data or files, and we do not scan file contents for advertising.

3. Third parties your data may pass through

Depending on which tools and sign-in methods you use, your data may be sent to:

  • CloudConvert and OCR.space — only the specific file you submit to a tool that needs them (e.g. PDF→Word, OCR), solely to perform that conversion.
  • Google / Facebook — if you choose to sign in with them (name and email only).
  • Razorpay / Stripe — if you subscribe to a paid plan, to process payment. We never see or store your card details.
  • Google Drive / Dropbox / OneDrive — only if you explicitly connect one and choose to save a file there.
  • Google reCAPTCHA / Google Analytics — if enabled on this site, to block bots and understand aggregate traffic. See our Cookie Policy.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the data it receives.

4. How long we keep data

Files: 24 hours (Free) or 30 days (paid plans) after processing, then permanently deleted from our servers. Account data (name, username, email) is kept until you ask us to delete it.

5. Your rights

You can update your name, username, and password anytime from Settings. To request a copy of your data or full account deletion, contact us using the details below — we don't yet have a fully self-service delete-account button, so this is handled manually.

6. Children's privacy

PDFDocFuse is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; continued use of the service after a change means you accept the update.
