How to merge PDF files without a watermark
Upload your PDFs to the Merge PDF tool, put them in the order you want, and download the combined file. It adds no watermark and needs no account, within the free plan limits of 10 files a day and 25 MB per file.
๐งฉ Merge PDF
Combine multiple PDFs into one document, in any order.
Step by step
- Open the Merge PDF tool and click the upload box, or drag your files onto it. Add two or more PDFs.
- Look at the list under the box. Files are combined from top to bottom, so the order shown is the order of your finished document.
- To change the order, remove a file and add it again. A re-added file goes to the end of the list.
- Click "Merge PDFs", wait a few seconds, then download the combined file.
- Open the result and scroll through it once before you send it on. Check the page order and that no file is missing.
Why some tools put a watermark on merged files
Many free PDF tools stamp their own name on every page, or only let you download a preview unless you pay. That is the watermark people are trying to avoid. Merging itself needs no marking at all: it only copies pages from one file into another.
The pages in a PDFDocFuse merge are copied straight from your originals, so text, images and fonts look exactly as they did before.
Check these before you merge
- Free plan limits are 10 files a day and 25 MB per file. Paid plans allow files up to 200 MB.
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged directly. Remove the password first with Unlock PDF; you need to know the password.
- Files are deleted automatically 24 hours after processing on the free plan.
- Scanned PDFs merge fine, but a merged scan can be big. Run it through the email compression guide if you need to send it.
If the result is not what you expected
- Pages in the wrong order: fix them afterwards with the page reordering guide.
- You only wanted some pages from one of the files: pull them out first with the page extraction guide, then merge.
- You would rather not upload at all: on a Mac, Preview can combine PDFs by dragging one file into the thumbnail sidebar of another and saving.

Open Merge PDFFrequently asked questions
Is it really free with no watermark?
Yes. The merge tool adds no watermark. Free use is limited to 10 files a day and 25 MB per file; paid plans lift those limits.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
Yes. The tool runs in any modern mobile browser. Tap the upload box, pick the PDFs from your phone's file storage, and download the result the same way.
Will merging change the quality of my pages?
No. Pages are copied directly from your source files, so nothing is re-compressed or re-drawn.
How do I merge only certain pages from a PDF?
Extract the pages you want into their own file first, then merge that file with the others. The page extraction guide shows how.
Why does one of my files fail to merge?
The usual causes are a password on the file, a file that is bigger than your plan allows, or a damaged PDF. Remove the password, check the size, and make sure the file opens normally in a PDF viewer.
