How to rotate PDF pages and save the change

Upload the PDF to Rotate PDF, choose 90°, 180° or 270°, optionally list the pages to turn, and download the result. The rotation is saved into the file, so it looks right everywhere.

Step by step

1. Open the Rotate PDF tool and upload your file.
2. Pick the rotation. For a page whose top faces left, choose 90° clockwise. If the top faces right, choose 270° clockwise. For an upside-down page, choose 180°.
3. To rotate only some pages, type their numbers in the "Specific pages" box. Leave it empty to rotate every page.
4. Click "Rotate PDF" and download the new file.
5. Open it and check the pages you changed. If a different group of pages needs a different angle, run the tool again on the new file.

Why turning the page in your PDF reader does not last

Most PDF viewers have a rotate button, but it only changes how that one viewer shows the page right now. Close the file, or send it to someone else, and the page is sideways again.

Saving a rotation means writing the new orientation into the file itself, which is what this tool does. Only the orientation changes; the text and images on the page are not re-compressed.

Mixed orientations in one file

Each run applies one angle. If page 3 needs 90° and page 7 needs 270°, rotate page 3 first, download the result, then run the tool again on that file for page 7.
