Do I need stamp paper?
Yes, in most states a rent agreement must be on stamp paper of a value set by the state. The amount depends on the state, the rent and the period. Ask a local stamp vendor, or an advocate, which value applies.
Why 11 months?
In many states an agreement for less than 12 months does not have to be registered. For a longer period the law usually requires registration. The period here is up to you.
